General Info
What is a tracking number?
First of all we need to set the record straight and explain what a tracking number is.
A tracking number is a unique combination of numbers and possibly letters which identifies your shipment for national or international tracking.
Usually every parcel ( especially that is being delivered internationally) has its own ID.
Tracking number is the ID the parcel is being given in order to identify it in any part of the world.
If you have ordered any piece via an online shop, you will receive a confirmation letter that will include the shipping information and the tracking number that you will be able to trace.
If you do not have this number, please contact the store to find out.
What type of tracking is there? What do you need to know?
All ecommerce tracking is usually divided into two major types: postal and courier tracking.
Courier tracking can consist of letters, numbers, symbols and may vary in lengths.
Postal tracking is divided into domestic and international tracking.
Domestic Postal Tracking is used for domestic shipments. Each postal operator itself determines the format of internal tracking.
International Postal Tracking conforms to one S10 standard where the code consists of 13 characters (13-characters identifier).
There 13-characters have the following definitions:
  • 1 and 2 character stands for Service indicator (The service indicator comprises two alphabetic characters which represent the type of operator that is chosen)
  • 3 to 10 character stands for Serial number (The serial number shall be exactly eight digits in length)
  • 11 character stands for Check digit (A check digit is an arithmetically derived number that is used to support the detection of substitution and transposition errors which can occur during data capture. This is a special number that is used to identify the tracking.)
  • 12 and 13 character stands for Country code (This is the two-character code of the UPU member country under whose authority the S10 identifier was issued)
Do I always get a tracking number?
Tracking is usually available on standard delivery services. So if you want to track your order make sure you choose the correct delivery option with the website you order from.
You'll receive a shipping confirmation email from the website with a tracking link for your parcel so you can follow its journey.
The website you have purchased the items from will inform you of the conditions and costs and you will decide what type of delivery to get.
Once your order has arrived in your country, it will be passed on to an internal postal service, according to standard delivery procedures.
When will my tracking information appear?
This information usually appears up to 48 hours after the confirmation hits your mail box.
If you have not heard anything about the tracking number, please contact the website you order from.
Can my tracking number be invalid?
Please make sure you have introduced the right amount of symbols and your tracking number is in the right format.
If the tracking number is still not working, please contact the online shop for more details then retry entering your product tracking ID here.
Why is my parcel not tracking?
Did your order just shipped? Please allow at least 1-3 days after your order shipment notifications for tracking updates to appear, especially when the delivery is international. At least try again in a few hours.
As soon as we have your tracking information it will be displayed on our website.
Can the tracking number be wrong?
Usually the tracking system is secure and correct. We make sure there are no mistakes on our website but the carrier has to be attentive as well while offering you the tracking number in the first place.
